Event Navigation

Please join us for what promises to be an educational and entertaining SymROSEium, on Saturday, April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Mitchell Hall. The theme this year is: “The Queen of Flowers and her Ladies-in-Waiting.”
Chris VanCleave, nicknamed The Red Neck Rosarian and a nationally known speaker, TV personality and podcast host, will present “Roses for the Real World.” Shalene Hiller, horticulturist for the City of Westminster since 2000 and former perennial propagator and grower for Paulino Gardens, will present “Ladies-in-Waiting,” a program on companion plants for roses.
This event is open to the public and free with paid admission to the Gardens. Consulting Rosarians will be on hand to answer your rose-growing questions. Mile-Hi Rose Feed, GreenCure®, and our “Growing Roses in Colorado” book will be available for purchase. There will be a treasure table of garden-themed and other gently-used items for sale, and drawings will be held for free gardening prizes.
Bare root roses and bare root companion plants to roses will be available for sale from Bailey Nurseries.
