Who We Are
Since 1947, the Denver Rose Society has educated the public and enriched the lives of rose growers throughout Colorado. Members form lasting friendships, share rose growing and care tips and learn from guest speakers. We enjoy the fun and challenge of exhibiting roses and visiting other gardens.
The Denver Rose Society generally hosts meetings on the second Thursday evening of every month from February through October. We meet at Denver Botanic Gardens in the Freyer-Newman Center, 1007 York Street, Denver, CO 80206. In July and August we gather at member homes or other garden settings for dinner and a tour.
Each spring we host an educational SymROSEium at Denver Botanic Gardens that is always a good time with guest speakers, educational displays and plenty of time to visit with other gardeners about the upcoming rose year.
Every summer members and the general public are invited to exhibit their roses in a judged rose show (always free with paid admission to Denver Botanic Gardens). The show is usually held in June or August. Every fourth year we host the Rocky Mountain District of the American Rose Society
